Summary: Merry thinks about Sam, and remembers last night, anticipating tonight's plans.

He watches him all day. Watches him go about his routine, everything he’d always done. But now, it all seems different. Every movement, every single one, reminds him of something else. Something he’d done last night.
He tries not to look too obvious, watching him in the garden, wondering if Sam’s told Frodo. He knows that if he hasn’t, he will eventually, and yet, he’d really prefer to keep it a secret, just for now.
He puffs on his pipe and sees in his mind the memory of Sam on top of him and he smiles, looking forward to tonight.
